App & Website Records Mismatch

I enter daily the results for 2 backyard traps via the website browser. However, the app shows always those entries as: “still set, bait bad”. Because that’s an option I’ve had yet to record on the website, what’s happening? I’m happy to keep using the website browser pending a fix for the app. Or am I missing something?

@rfeatherstone on the website, if you select a trap it will offer you a view of the past visit records, but the app currently doesn’t store the data from past visits (except for the app log).
On the app, when you select a trap you only have the option to create a new record, not to view the old ones, and if I’ve understood your question correctly I think that’s what you’re seeing - a new unsaved record opening with the default status of “still set, bait bad”.

There have been quite a few feature requests for the app to display at least one past visit per installation, but the developers tell us that this involves a lot of storage space on individual devices plus the associated update time every time someone opens their app, so for now the website is the best way to view past visits. If you’re the only one entering data for your traps, you’ll be able to see a limited amount of data in your app log, but only what you’ve entered through the app over the past month unless there’s been a sync error where the data didn’t upload.

Hope that helps?
