Kia ora,
It appears that the AT220 telemetry report generates only data that that Trap.NZ user has captured and that a project admin can’t generate a report that includes other trappers in the project too. Have we missed something here OR is that some functionality that could be added in?
Many thanks,
Andy
This is something that needs to happen. It’s not much point if the reports only show for the user on the project. All telemetry reports for the project should be able to be seen by administrators at least.
Hi Andy, we are having the same fault. multiple users entering data but as an admin I’m not seeing anything. Did you get anywhere with this?
No, no traction here yet that I’ve seen. Still really keen for this to be possible though!
I believe something is happening sometime in the new year.
Just wanting to clarify - Is it only the logged-on user that can see the At220 data on trap.nz? Does this mean they have to separately set up a trap site in trap.nz and separately enter the data, like we have always done? If so, what is the purpose or use of the telemetry report?
Thanks for your interest in this. We are working towards improvements here. The telemetry data link and report was a first phase getting the data into Trap.NZ.
Our upcoming plans are to:
- Allow users to associate the NZAT devices with their project, allowing all admins and managers to see all NZAT devices associated with their current project.
- Allow linking of the telemetry data for a device to a given trap in a project, so that from the trap side project users (with appropriate access) can at least visualise the latest telemetry data from the trap. (which will primarily be current kill count, and number of possums / large kills)
Noting that the data from the AT220s (With Wifi connectivity) return a count of kills rather than any dedicated log of each kill and when it happened. This makes it complicated (nigh impossible) to directly create a trap record from the AT220 data.
Some of the newer devices and versions of the AT220 (with Bluetooth connectivity) will provide a full log which will make this translation more straight forward.
We are also working towards retrofit options which will assist in getting better realtime kill data from the Wifi based AT220’s.
