When I add multiple installations to a line, I then expect the line to create itself automatically between the different bait stations, so it uses the bait stations GPS coordinates.
Do I have to create the line separately then link the bait stations to it?
Yes you do have to create them separately. In practice it very rarely works out that you want a line running directly between them (paths don’t generally go point to point between installations.)
The most accurate option is to walk the trail and record the path in the app, then use the generated WKT data as the foundation of the line (i.e. upload it after the event and edit it as required. It will have more data that you want.)
If you use the Walk Line proximity tools it will record this path automatically and upload it as a line report. You can extract the WKT data from there.
