The android phone app background defaults to a topo map, wheras the web default map is an aerial. Is it possible to select an aerial map to use on the app as this is often easier to use on the ground than a topo?
Hi there. Not at the moment but we plan to have this in the next version of the app.
The maps need to be able to work off-line so we download the tileset for the project areas to the device. In the past the storage limits for apps was very limiting which is why we went with topos (aerials took up a lot more space). This is less of a constraint now.
The map online is great, but I’ve found the map on the app not at all useful. Any improvements to the app map would be greatly appreciated. This is the one frustrating downside to an otherwise excellent app.
