Customise "Species Caught"

Hi,

Is there any way to customise the list of “Species Caught”? (Like there is for “Monitoring Species”)

I would like to record Ship Rats separately to Norwegian Rats. Is the best approach just to add the species to the Notes?

Hi David - this is something that is planned. Not sure when though. For now yes, the best approach is to use the notes field.

Still looking for this functionality - To be able to add “Wasp - Nest”

@yachal.upson in the meantime you could use Points of Interest - I’ve got some nests in there as Hazards at the moment. Or maybe Wasp/Wasp Nest could be added as a species on the One-off Pest Control list? @andy.saunders-admin, @lenore-admin, would that be possible?

@christina.g I think that is a reasonable approach. They are hazards (POI) until the nests are taken out at which point they are a One-off Pest control event (‘Wasp nest’). If you want to monitor the success of the control, you can leave the POI in place for later follow up.

If you want be more specific than ‘Hazard’ you could create a custom POI type of ‘Wasp Nest’.

We can add ‘Wasp nest’ as a pest type for the one off control.
