Insights from trapnz data

Kia ora trapping legends!
I’m currently looking at running some statistical analysis on the trapnz data (in pursuit of a better understanding of national-level species distributions and co-occurrence), and I was wondering what other questions would be of interest?
I have had suggestions regarding trap and bait effectiveness by region, or even habitat type/season, but would be interested in hearing your thoughts, as I want to ensure that my work will be useful! Also, I will be sure to provide updates on our findings.
Keep up the good mahi!
Cheers,
Anna

I agree, lure effectiveness analysis for different species would be very useful!

If the data has any insights into the average time that different lures can be in place before going mouldy/bad/unattractive in different seasons/locations, that would be handy to know when scheduling trap checks.

More insights on which ecosystems are preferred by different species, and whether they move seasonally (e.g. in response to flowering/fruiting times) are always appreciated, and I’d love to know whether there are preferred-terrain factors such as distance to waterways or slope steepness that could allow control efforts to be more targeted.
