Map Not Showing for IOS User

We have a user in our group who sees a malformed screen on startup:

There are no menu buttons to click. The map is not showing.

Restarting the app doesn’t help. Would a hard reset be appropriate here? Or an uninstall/reinstall?

I have asked him for the app version and will post it here when I get it?

Hi David,

They chose Basic mode when offered the Advanced/Basic options at first install. Just hit the Main Menu > Settings then selected Advanced.

I have the android app and have had the same problem for days , it started with a menu i could not cancel covering the map.
I reset, uninstalled and no change, but selecting basic mode works !
In my case I selected basic mode and it defaulted back to the map
