Kia ora,
On my project I have three separate lines labelled the same “QCSouth” .They each follow on from the other but in reality they are just one line that continues on from itself.
I originally drew these when I was first installing the lines and wasn’t sure what i was doing,
The first QCSouth line doesn’t have any traps assigned, while the other two both contain the same traps (duplicated across each line).
I’m a bit nervous about deleting anything in case the traps get removed along with the line.
What’s the best way to merge these three lines into one, while keeping all traps correctly assigned to one single line?

@eict2024, to edit one of the lines to have the correct geometry, you can follow these instructions: Editing lines | Trap.NZ Help & User guides. Depending what’s easiest for your project, you can either redraw the line or copy/paste the coordinates from the three sections into one. Alternatively, you could create a brand-new line with the geometry that you want, if you find that easier. I’d also recommend editing the name of either the line you want to keep or those you’re going to get rid of, so that you can easily tell which is which on the drop-down menu in the next step.
After that, I would reassign all traps to the new/newly-edited line. The easiest way to do that (assuming you have admin permissions) is via Manage Traps which will allow you to assign a whole batch of traps to the same line at the same time, rather than editing individual line assignments. Managing line installations | Trap.NZ Help & User guides (scroll down to the section on “Adding multiple installations to a line”)
Once you’ve got all your installations assigned to the line you’re going to keep, you should be OK to delete the superfluous lines. I don’t think the installations would disappear along with the line even if you didn’t reassign them, but no need to tempt fate!
One thing I’m not clear on from your post, though, is whether you had also created duplicate trap installations for the separate lines? If so, you may end up with double-ups on your final line. Depending how much data is attached to any duplicate installations, merging them might be an issue for Support. If there isn’t much to fix, one workaround is to download all the records and then reupload them to the correct installation, but there may be an easier way.
