As a project leader at BHMET, I use the Trap date last checked with Map report more than any other. It’s my guide to weekly trap servicing tasking. The problem is that we have a lot of automatic traps on the hill and as a result, the map is dominated by red which isn’t an accurate reflection of our work status.
I have a need for another report like this that’s based on the service interval for each trap type rather than just days since last check. Some traps have a service interval of 2 weeks (most manual traps), some at 4 weeks (DOC 200) and others at 6 months (A24s and AT220s). So that leads to the following feature request:
As a Manager, I need to be able to set target service intervals for each trap type. Logically this would be under the Project / Proect Categories tab as a new ‘Service Interval’ tab.
As a Manager, I need to be able to view a map of my project which shows all the traps coloured by service interval (defined above) exceedance. So traps that are within their target service interval (i.e. at today’s date, the trap is within its service interval) are coloured green. Traps that have exceeded their service interval by less than 25% (i.e. for a 2 week trap type, the trap is 3.5 days overdue; for a six-month trap type, the trap is 45 days overdue) are coloured yellow. Traps that are 25-100% overdue are coloured orange. Traps that are more than 100% overdue are red.
This would then create a map that is coloured based on service interval exceedance… far more actionable than the current day-exceedance.
Cheers
