We have a couple of trappers with Android phones who cannot enter sex and life stage for some catches. There are no fields under species. But sometimes they are there (mostly not). See attached screen shot. App is 6.2.19
To add gender and maturity, you need to access the menu in your app and enable the advanced record fields or alternatively click on where it says installation details and toggle the enable advanced fields to on this will then allow you to add these two fields records
