I am a first time user to the site and beyond the password requirements (16 letters… really? is it such a security risk?) why is the site so difficult to navigate? It would be great to have some guidelines on setting up your data. I am keen to add our data to a national data base.
Kia ora,
Please check out our help docs for some guidance on how to get started with Trap.NZ

I’m glad it’s not just me. I’m really struggling. I just want to know the basics of how to log a catch. I don’t know what half of the options even mean, and when I finished it added both the rat and mouse traps, but I only caught something in the mouse trap. I’m unsure if it has also logged one for the rat, even though that’s not what i was trying to do (I think I deleted it, but I’m not sure). I checked the user guide linked, and nothing seemed related to the basic logging of a catch (unless I just couldn’t find it, even though I checked every option?). I’m very confused.
Kia ora Rachel,
Sorry to hear you’re having trouble using Trap.NZ. Are you using the Trap.NZ app? If not, that’s a much more user-friendly interface for doing basic things like logging catches, and I highly recommend installing it!
Here are the help doc links for adding trap records both ways:

Hope that helps!
