We are in Mangawhai rural at the base of Brynderwyns and have had great success trapping rats and possums- 104 rats and 42 possums with an AT220 trap. Have a lot more bird life and kiwi calls.

if not already connecting with the Piroa Trust would be beneficial as they doing lots of work in your area.
Yes we have a couple of their traps on site too. They catch stoats, hedgehogs etc
