I have had a few occasions where all that is left in the trap (that has been sprung) is a mouse tail. The trap has also been dragged along inside the box to the entrance.
Has the mouse managed to lose its tail and escape or has something else come along and eaten the mouse (leaving the tail behind)?
Any ideas?
