What happened to One-Off Records?

So up until recently this was a feature used for pest control via shooting. But it seems to have completely disappeared. Any knowledge as to why, or how I’m now supposed to record data from night-shooting now?
Thanks in advance.
Matt.

Good point, I hadn’t noticed that tab had changed!
On the website, you could try “I have a pest to report” (under the Quick Links heading), then the drop-down menu will offer “Other (shooting, road kill, etc)” which takes you to the one-off record entry form.
Or is it on the app that you’re having the issue?

Kia ora @matt_8 @christina.g the one off have now been added to the Quick Actions. You can now also add a one off observation as well trap.nz Quick Actions ... | Trap.NZ Help & User guides

Thank you Lenore!.. :grinning: :grinning: :grinning:

Where do you go to review the one-off records? I can see the paw prints on my phone, but not on the laptop.

@ok1utrust the one off pest show in the trap records and the one off observations show in monitoring records. I hope that helps

everytime I see a possum hit by car, I’m tempted to login and mark it

@makomako if it’s in your project area, I’d go for it! Over time, if there are loads of possum kills in particular spots, it could inform trap placement decisions. Also, it gives you more population data.

The only issue I could see is if several people in the same group all saw and marked the same roadkill - I guess you’d need to discuss within the group how to handle possible duplicate entries and distinguish them from multiple kills over a short period. Maybe add in the notes if the animal was removed, or whether it looks fresh/old?
