I was asked by the manager of Ark in the Park, a conservation project in the Waitakere Ranges, for something that would enable our 100+ ground-based possum traps to emulate the Flipping Timmy, and perhaps work more humanely by discouraging partial engagements of head and bait. The attached PDF gives details and the finished mounts are roughly $3 each.

Nice design !
A poor cousin option here too:
Hi good to see people working on different ideas, good to get them off the ground even if only to keep them safe for other ground dwellers
If you go to the main traps pages all catergories tips and tricks there is a mod there for making a Timms into a flipping Timmy.
Some of the problems with escapees in Timm comes down to how they are baited, I covered part of that in trapping paper also in tips and tricks
there is no debate that if you add a running board it improves possum catches
cheers
Indeed, cleaner strikes, less slugs & snails etc…
I can’t see how to edit my post, so here is an amended PDF with true amount of u-channel that was bought, and a unit price of $4!
